I booked family room. Big enough for 3 persons. 1 queen size bed & 1 single. Loved the size & scenery. But the only thing lacking is the iron & iron board. Should've included in the room. Especially steam iron. Service is top notch. Foods & drinks from the cafe are definitely the best.

Muar Traders Hotel offers a beautiful view of the Muar River mouth and is conveniently located near the mosque. My wife and I enjoyed a lovely jog along the river, crossing the Muar Bridge and back. I performed Maghreb prayers at the nearby mosque and Fajr prayers at the mosque across the river — both experiences were serene and memorable.

Breakfast was decent, and while the rooms could use some refurbishment, I still slept like a baby. Hopefully, they can refresh the rooms in time for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

Bonus points for having Pizza Hut and Secret Recipe right on the ground floor 🍕🍰. It would be perfect if they added a CU Mart or Family Mart for convenience.

We stayed at Muar Traders Hotel last weekend and had a mixed experience.

On the downside, we had to wait quite a while for the lift when it was a bit busy. We also found leftover drinks in the fridge, which made us question the cleanliness. The tap water used for boiling in the kettle had an odd taste/smell, and the buffet breakfast was quite limited in variety.

However, there were some good points too. The room was very spacious and reasonably priced, which is great for families or group stays. The hotel is also within walking distance to several local restaurants, making it convenient to explore Muar’s food scene. Plus, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Overall, it’s an affordable option with room for improvement, especially in cleanliness and facilities.

Good room, cleanliness ok. Friendly reception. Universal socket is a big plus. Nice view at breakfast. But very limited choices. Will stay again. The rooms are also clean and well kept. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are clean. Overall, recommended place to stay when in Muar.

This hotel got the best services ever. I love the location very strategic. The parking spaces also very good. Got secret recipe and dominos within the hotel area. No need to walk so far but still you can go anywhere nearby to eat, take photos and etc. I love this hotel room but some things need to be improve. Just found the cups is not clean at all. Ive been here so many times. Maybe can add some more hangers as this room is 3 pax. Maybe the toilet can be improved also but its still okay to be use.

Bilik air suram,bilik air dinding semua hitam,pastu lampu pulak warna kuning,jadi suram lah..kalau boleh tukar lah lampu warna putih.nak masuk bilik air pon takut tau..jangan lah kedekut lampu.minta tukar yer lampu bilik air tu tukar jadi lampu putih ,letak lah 2 lampu dalam bilik air tu..ni review jujur dari my family...sorry lah tak akan pergi dah.

Bilik family memang bersih, besar dan luas macam apartment. ada 2 bilik, ruang tamu, sofa, meja makan, mini bar, balcony, 2 tandas, 3 tv. Sarapan pagi ada nasi lemak, mee goreng & etc. Staff pun ok. Parking banyak dan percuma. Lokasi strategik dekat dengan kedai makan. Cuma lampu dalam toilet malap sangat, kalau terang lg ok.
