My history with Atos was indeed a very short one.

I was interviewed for a Japanese speaker position. The online interview went smoothly, and I was informed a few days later that I was selected for the position. Congratulations to me, yeayy..

But things went south from that point. An HR person contacted me to complete the hiring process. All details such as salary, benefits and etc were agreed. All documents I submitted. Everything they asked, I followed and acted accordingly. I politely asked for the Offer letter and the HR person said it was ready and they were finalizing some things before being handed over to me. I waited and waited but it never came. I asked the HR person again and guess what, she said the Client required a native Japanese for the position. They did not confirm the profile required by the client first before starting the hiring process What a failure.

She then promised me that I was on top of the waiting list as another position would be empty soon. A few weeks after that, I followed up to the HR person. She said another position was now empty and finally they agreed to hire me. I was fooled once, so I did not believe 100% what she said. I asked first the Offer Letter. She said it was being finalized and need to wait a few days. After a few days, I called her and asked for a confirmation. And as expected, she said the company decided to scale down the group and my position was on hold indefinitely. If you don't need an additional headcount, then don't do the hiring. Don't waste people's time. What a clown.

The moral of the story is, to job seekers, be extra careful when dealing with Atos HR.

I don't think it's recommended to work here if you want to enhance your knowledge in the IT field. Waited more than 1 month for process training without having any information and you will see all kinds of dramas here.

It's good to work, good for people who join after graduated from university or college, but I don't really recommend you to work here even if you're sent to work here from our sourcing because

1. NO IT and customer service experiences are required even though these experiences and IT skills are required in the job description.
2. Seems many people don't have social skills because many people joined this company after the university of college but I know that they learnt social skills in the company.

For those who are looking to start their career in contact centre, I would recommend this company. Overall, the working experience I had in this company was just on average level. See below for more details:

Good things:
1. Good for your starting career
2. No work overload
3. Good compensation (salary + benefits) for fresh grad
4. No micromanagement from intermediate/top management
5. Good technical knowledge exposure
6. Company location close to numerous restaurants

What needs to change!!!
1. Implement work rotation effectively (some seniors were given special treatment not to change their work rotation, not compliance with work contract)
2. Approve staff leave in a timely manner (All leaves were approved 1 day before the actual events which is very uncomfortable. I had cancel some leaves due to late top management decision even though leaves were applied few months back)
3. Discrimination (for those who plan to work there, pls be reminded that 80-90% of the whole population there are Indians, therefore you might feel discriminated in terms of job promotion, treatment from top management and etc). However I can say that this happens because mostly indians are there. If you can well blend in, should
be no problem.
4. Some seniors do not have to work or not obligated to complete their actual job based on job descriptions and were all burdened to new comers. This is completely not OK. The top management were focusing on improving the SLA however, they did not even realize that this happened because some of them feel entitled and not taking full responsibility/accountability towards their job.
5. Work as a contract worker type. You will be working as a contract for the first few years and will not be converted to permanent unless approved by top management. I am not sure how they evaluate this but I have seen staffs that have been working for years with good performance but not given a permanent job contract. This might validate my point at number 3 above.

Atos is managed by kids with kiddish mentality. It’s good for those who never work before to get some exposure but be ready to be treated in unkind way. No respect and bully is apart of their culture. Favouritism too obvious and certainly acceptable there. Disgusting and toxic environment. The pay too low as well. A good place for a stepping stone. Not to build your career with.
